Here are some frequently asked questions about our Tao of Healing Love Course:

1.  Who is this course for?

    • Single people, couples of any sexual orientation.
    • People who wish to regain their vitality after cancer, an operation or serious illness.
    • People who wish to regain their sense of intimacy.
    • People who are having a sexual awakening and want to learn about their sexuality, and what to do with their sexual energy.
    • People who are not able to sexually connect with their partner.
    • People who want to develop more skills relating to love and intimacy.
    • People with a low or high libido and want to learn how to manage it.
    • People who want to feel both loving and sexual at the same time.
    • People who want to gain an understanding of what sexual healing really is.
    • Would  like to have balanced hormones.
    • Want to learn how to use their sexual energy to give them vitality.

 

2. Where does this course come from?

This course is based on ancient Chinese practices, developed over hundreds of years, for cultivating our sexual energy and bringing it together with the love of our heart.    It was originally taught by Master Mantak Chia of the Tao Garden, Thailand.   The Taoist monks discovered that when we combine our sexual energy with our heart energy through specific practices we could use it to improve our health, vitality, longevity and personal development.

3.   What practices will you be using on the course?

We use visualisations, meditations, self massage, chi kung and Tao Yin yoga exercises on the course.

4. Will there be nudity or sexual touch between people?

There is no nudity or sexual touch between people on the course.    The only touch is self massage.

5. Do teachers have sex with their students?

This course is about sexuality but does not include sex between any participants, teachers or students.

6. I have been sexually, physically and/or emotionally abused in the past. Can I attend?

Abuse in a general and specific sense is surprisingly common. It is also common for people who know or do not know that they have been abused in different ways may attend Sexuality courses. You are responsible for your experience on the course, and deciding that you are emotionally ready. For many people this is the next step after counselling for sexual abuse, and we would ask you to ensure that you also have appropriate support outside of the course, before, during and after.  Please let us know if you have any concerns in this area.

7. Is there any age limit for this course?

Yes, you must be 16 years or over.

8. What do I bring?

Comfortable clothing suitable for yoga exercises, thick socks, slip on shoes

3 blankets and a yoga mat

2 pillows

Snacks and lunches

A water bottle

A warm jersey or wrap

Here are some frequently asked questions about our courses:

1. Who is the sensual massage course for?

This course is for people who

  • Are in a relationship and who wish to regain their sense of intimacy.
  • Are having a sexual awakening and want to learn about their sexuality, and what to do with their sexual energy.
  • Want to learn how to connect the love of their heart with their sexual energy.
  • Who want to learn how to massage in an intimate setting.
  • Want to learn more skills relating to love and intimacy.

 

2. What will you teach me about sensual massage?

We begin by teaching you relaxation massage. We also demonstrate connective touch, how to communicate what you like, and how to be connected with your partner. Then we explain how the body opens for a man and a woman, and what sensual touch is. This leads to demonstration and practise of how to give and receive sensual massage.

 

3. Will there be nudity?

Nudity is not required and if it is done at all, it will be discreet. It is a requirement to come with underwear (both men and women). You may see other people partially undressed.

 

4. Do I have to be massage or be massaged?

Massage and sensual touch is an essential part of the course and our purpose is to guide you in getting and giving only the touch that is desired. You will never be asked to do anything you really don’t want to do! We will teach you communication skills which enable you to create a safe space for massage.

 

5. Will my genitals be touched?

Genitals are not included in the massage we are practising on this course. We will demonstrate chest/breast massage and you have the option of whether or not to include that.

 

6. Will I be covered during the massage?

Yes, there will be lots of blankets and pillows during the massage. Only the part of you being massaged with be exposed at one time.

 

7. Is this a dating course?

No.

 

8. Will there be sex on the course?

No. You may feel sexual and/or feel other people’s sexual energy, but there will be no sex.

 

9. Do teachers have sex with their students?

This course is about sexuality but does not include sex between any participants, teachers or students.

 

10. Do a need a partner for the course?

Yes you do need a partner.     You can bring a friend of same sex or opposite sex, your lover, husband or wife.

 

11. I have been sexually, physically and/or emotionally abused in the past. Can I attend?

12 What are the responsibilities surrounding the course?

The teachers are responsible for presenting the course material and overseeing individual and group processes in a co-creative way. You are responsible for participating in the course and taking care of your own well-being.

 

13. Is there any age limit for this course?

Yes, you must be 18 years or over.

 

14. What do I bring?

Appropriate underwear and a sarong
